Our current Special Event:

Our Holiday Weight Challenge- Don’t Gain A Pound! *Special Pandemic Edition*

Many people gain weight during the winter holiday season, usually 1 – 5 pounds, and when we look at the full holiday period- Halloween to Valentine’s Day, that can expand to 7 pounds.

The weight gained during the holiday season is usually carried with us year-to–year, unnoticed until we move into our thirties and beyond.  Around then, it is sometimes referred to as “the middle-age spread”. The easiest way to avoid this “spread” is to avoid gaining weight.

The goal is to avoid gaining even one pound during the holidays- Christmas to Valentine’s Day.  The program will officially run December 24 (the day before Christmas) – February 14, 2021.

Dieting and exercise are NOT a requirement of the program, just sensible choices that can help you maintain your current weight. You will receive weekly emails with tips and supportive information related to healthy lifestyle choices. Additionally, the first 50 registrants will receive the *Special Pandemic Edition* t-shirt and mask!

Participation will involve uploading a screenshot of or typing in your weight for the week into a Google form that will be emailed to you.

Registration is December 16 – 24 through the link below! This program is open to all UA-Little Rock students, staff, and faculty.
