UA Little Rock to feature Norman Boehm and Hal Grossman in Oct. 30 performance

Pianist Norman Boehm, professor of music at Hendrix College, and violinist Hal Grossman, professor of violin at the University of Oklahoma, will star in a dual recital at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock on Monday, Oct. 30.

Pianist Norman Boehm, professor of music at Hendrix College, and violinist Hal Grossman, professor of violin at the University of Oklahoma, will star in a dual recital at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock on Monday, Oct. 30. 

The performance, which is free and open to the public, will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall in the Fine Arts Building on the UA Little Rock campus.

Boehm has performed in Europe and South Africa as well as in the United States. He specializes in music from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. In addition to performing as soloist and chamber musician, he is also a composer, arranger, and conductor.

Grossman has served as professor of violin at the Interlochen Arts Academy, Miami University, and is on the summer faculties at the Aria International Music Academy and Marrowstone Music Festival. He is the founder and creator of The Grossman Method, a pedagogy course for healthy string playing.
