Ying Quartet comes to UA Little Rock Sept. 13

The Ying Quartet

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will host the Ying Quartet on Thursday, Sept. 13.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall in the UA Little Rock Fine Arts Building. Tickets are $25 each for the general public and can be purchased online from the Chamber Music Society of Little Rock. UA Little Rock students get free admission.

The Ying Quartet occupies a position of unique prominence in the classical music world, combining brilliantly communicative performances with a fearlessly imaginative view of chamber music in today’s world. Now in its third decade, the quartet has established itself as an ensemble of the highest musical qualifications.

The Ying Quartet will perform Mendelssohn’s String Quartet in D Major Op. 44, No. 1; Theofanidis’ “The Conference of the Birds;” and Tchaikovsky’s String Quartet No. 1, Op. 11.
