The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Jazz Ensemble will perform Monday, Oct. 8.

The concert will be held from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall in the UA Little Rock Fine Arts building.

The ensemble will perform “Shiny Stockings” by Frank Foster, arranged by Sammy Nestico; “Quietude” by Thad Jones; “But Beautiful” by Jimmy Van Heusen, arranged by Lennie Niehaus; “Chronometry” by Fred Sturm; “The Look of Love” by Burt Bacharach, arranged by Mark Taylor; and “Day In, Day Out” by Rube Bloom, arranged by Bill Holman.

The Jazz Ensemble, led by Dr. Michael Underwood, focuses on traditional jazz styles, student arrangements, and modern works.
