2020 Little Rock Golf Shamble Set For August 31

The 2019 Little Rock Golf Shamble took place at Pleasant Valley Country Club.

The sixth annual Little Rock Golf Shamble will take place Monday, Aug. 31, with the event once again returning to Pleasant Valley Country Club. The annual event has become a staple activity for the department, helping raise funds for Trojan golf student-athletes.

The Little Rock men’s and women’s golf teams are proud to announce Chris Mayes as this year’s honoree, as well as his father, John Mayes, as the alumni honoree for the 2020 tournament. Chris Mayes has been a tremendous supporter of both the Little Rock men’s and women’s golf teams through the years.

Chris Mayes has served as the director of golf at Pleasant Valley Country Club for 20 years and has been a key component in making PVCC one of the many places Little Rock Golf is fortunate enough to call home in the area. His father John Mayes played at Little Rock (1967-68) and is a great ambassador for the Little Rock Golf program.

Please join us for a fun-filled round of golf at the beautiful Pleasant Valley Country Club. This unique event will allow you and your friends to play a shamble golf tournament paired with one of the talented golfers from the 2020-21 Little Rock men’s and women’s golf teams or a Little Rock Golf alumnus.

Every dollar raised will go directly to the golf teams for scholarships, travel, equipment, and tournament  expenses. We expect a full field with early registration. Team entries will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. For more information, please contact Jake Harrington, at 501-516-3531 or jxharrington@ualr.edu. Please register online by completing the 2020 Little Rock Golf Shamble Registration Form.
