Student-athlete named to NABC Honors Court

UALR senior Gus Leeper has been named to the 2013-14 National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court for his academic achievements.

Gus Leeper, UALR TrojansTo qualify for the NABC Honors Court, a student-athlete must be a junior or senior who has earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher at the end of the academic year.

A native of Austin, Texas, Leeper is a double major in International Business and Business Management and boasts a 3.97 GPA.

Leeper is also a member of UALR’s College of Business Ambassadors Program, an initiative that pairs high achieving students with area business leaders while providing networking opportunities and mentoring.

Gus Leeper, UALR TrojansLast summer, Leeper studied abroad in Guadalajara, Mexico, and he has also worked in the regulatory department at Windstream in Little Rock as an intern where he gained experience with communications administration and policy issues.

Leeper is one of a record 895 student-athletes from 335 colleges and universities to make this year’s NABC Honors Court list.
