UALR criminal justice program recognized as top online education program
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s online criminal justice program has been ranked among the best in the country.
Leading higher education information and resource provider AffordableCollegesOnline.org highlighted UALR among its list of 50 four-year U.S. colleges and universities that offer the best online criminal justice degrees for the 2016-17 academic year.
UALR offers both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science in criminal justice through fully online programs.
The Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice online degree program is designed for students pursuing careers in law enforcement, corrections, and juvenile and adult courts. The master’s degree is designed to help professionals who are already working in the field develop the essential knowledge and skills needed to become an effective practitioner or supervisor in the criminal justice system.
“A criminal justice degree provides students opportunities to work in a variety of legal or protective service careers,” said Dan Schuessler, CEO and founder of AffordableCollegesOnline.org. “Criminal justice students will not only find a flexible learning option in the schools on our list, but also exceptional overall value in terms of both cost and educational quality when it comes to earning a criminal justice degree online.”
To be eligible for the list, schools must be accredited, public or private not-for-profit institutions, and must offer in-state tuition rates under $25,000 per year for four-year schools. Rankings were based on more than a dozen school-specific statistics, including financial aid offerings and graduation rates.
