UA Little Rock Community Orchestra to perform Dec. 2

University of Arkansas at Little Rock

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Community Orchestra will hold its fall concert on Sunday, Dec. 2. 

The event, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 3 p.m. in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall in the UA Little Rock Fine Arts Building.

This performance features works by Mikhail Glinka, Franz Schubert, and Leopold Mozart as well as the Arcangelo Corelli’s Christmas Concerto and the final movement from Haydn’s Symphony 104.

Victor Ellsworth, an instructor in the Department of Music, conducts the 44-member Community Orchestra, which was formed in fall 1997 to provide a once-a-week musical experience for amateur musicians to play a wide range of music written for the symphonic orchestra.
