Associate general counsel named UA Little Rock’s new head of human resources
University of Arkansas at Little Rock Chancellor Christina Drale has announced the appointment of Mandy Hull, associate general counsel for the University of Arkansas System, as associate vice chancellor of human resources and policy advisor to the chancellor, effective Nov. 11.
“As part of the Office of General Counsel, I have developed so much admiration and respect for the incredible work being done by faculty and staff here at UA Little Rock,” Hull said. “I’m honored that Chancellor Drale has given me this opportunity to serve the campus community, and I look forward to joining my friends and colleagues in the Department of Human Resources.”
Hull has served as UA Little Rock’s designated legal counsel for the past eight years. She has experience in employment law and served as vice president of human resources at Alltel Communications in both Charlotte, N. C., and in Little Rock.
She also served as director of human resources for a year at Arkansas State University-Beebe before becoming an assistant attorney general for the state of Arkansas from 2008 to 2011.
“I am very pleased that Mandy has agreed to accept this important leadership role as the campus focuses on institutional effectiveness,” Drale said. “In addition to having a central role in launching Workday, our new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, the Human Resources department continues to serve as critical business unit in helping us recruit and retain excellent employees at UA Little Rock.”
