Chancellor’s Leadership Corps launches annual food drive

The UALR Chancellor’s Leadership Corps (CLC) launched its annual Reach 13,000 food drive on Sept. 15 to support the Arkansas Food Bank. The goal of the drive is to provide 13,000 families with nonperishable food.

SGA Celebrates Success of Food Drive Wednesday

Members of the UALR Student Government Association will celebrate reaching and exceeding the goal of collecting 12,000 items of food for local community food banks at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, in the Diamond Area of the Donaghey Student Center.

At the start of the fall semester, SGA members began a drive to collect a food item by November for every student enrolled at UALR this semester – a record-high 12,167.

Christopher D. Smith, president of UALR’s SGA,  said the food drive netted “well over 15,000” food items.
