Scholarships for New Incoming Transfer Students

We’re so excited you’ve decided to become a Trojan at UA Little Rock. As a transfer student, you may be eligible for one of our entering transfer scholarships. There are awards for both in-state and out-of-state entering transfer students listed below.

Make sure you apply for admission by Aug. 1, 2025, to be considered. You don’t even need to complete a separate application for scholarships!

Additional Information:

  • You must be a first-time UA Little Rock student (excluding concurrent classes)
  • You must enroll in a minimum of 15 hours per semester and maintain a 3.0+ cumulative GPA
General Transfer Scholarships

Academic All Star
  • Tuition and fees for 15 hours of enrollment per semester, awarded at the time of admission
  • Up to 2 years awarded
  • Student must be named an Academic All-Star at an Arkansas two-year college.
Trojan Transfer
  • $5,000 tuition and fees
  • Up to 2 years awarded
 3.5 transfer GPA
  • Have 12 or more transferable credit hours** and required GPA
  • Arkansas or contiguous state resident
  • $4,000 tuition and fees
  • Up to 2 years awarded
 3.25 transfer GPA
  • $3,000 tuition and fees
  • Up to 2 years awarded
 3.0 transfer GPA
Transfer2STEM Scholarship
  • Full tuition and fees
  • Up to 4 semesters awarded

  • Arkansas resident
  • Applicants must be native only to UA-PTC or ASU Beebe with 30+ transferable hours
  • Must be an undergraduate in a Donaghey College of STEM program
  • Requires submission of scholarship application by March 1st
Out-of-state Entering Transfer Students

Contiguous State Waiver Waives the out-of-state portion of tuition
  • Must meet requirements for admission
  • Must be degree-seeking
  • Must reside in a contiguous state (LA, MO, MS, OK, TN, TX).
New Arkansan Non-Resident Tuition Award Pays 90% of non-resident tuition charges
  • For students not receiving other waivers for out-of-state charges
  • Minimum of a 3.0 transfer GPA*
  • 12 or more transferable credit hours** and required GPA
Privately-funded Scholarships $1,000 – $5,000
  • Over $2 million in scholarships funded through the generosity of private donors
  • Criteria vary with each scholarship

*GPA: Minimum transfer GPA at the time of application.
**Transferable hours: The number of hours that transfer to UA Little Rock after transcript articulation.

Now, a few housekeeping items:

  • A majority of institutional scholarships may only be awarded to U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
  • We cannot guarantee an award to each applicant due to the competitive nature of scholarships.
  • Transfer scholarships are available to pay direct expenses (tuition, fees, and room and board) that are charged to a student’s UA Little Rock student account after all waivers or discounts are applied.
  • No portion of transfer scholarship funds are refunded to the student.
