Scholarships are available to entering transfer students and to out-of-state entering transfer students

After you have been admitted to UA Little Rock and have a current FAFSA on file, you can apply for scholarships using the Trojan SMART application.

  • Minimum 45 transferable credit hours from an Arkansas two-year college, completed as of scholarship deadline.
  • Arkansas resident.
  • Must be a first-time UA Little Rock student (excluding concurrent classes).

Academic All Star
  • Tuition & Fees for 15 hours of enrollment per semester, awarded at time of admission
  • Up to 4 semesters awarded
  • Student must be named an Academic All-Star at an Arkansas two-year college.
Trojan Transfer
  • $4,000 tuition & fees
  • Up to 4 semesters awarded

  • Must major in the College of Engineering and Information Technology.

Out-of-state Entering Transfer Students
Add to any eligible award.
Scholarship Annual Award Other Criteria
Contiguous State Waiver
  • Waives the out-of-state portion of tuition
  • Must meet requirements for unconditional admission.
  • Must be degree seeking.
  • Must reside in contiguous state (OK, MO, TN, MS, LA, TX).
New Arkansan Non-Resident Tuition Award
(For students not receiving a contiguous state waiver)

Minimum 3.30 cumulative transfer GPA:

  • 90% of the difference between resident and nonresident tuition
  • If fewer than 24 credit hours transferred, must also meet 22 cumulative ACT (or equivalent SAT) score and minimum 3.00 cumulative high school GPA.

Minimum 3.00 cumulative transfer GPA:

  • 80% of the difference between resident and nonresident tuition
Privately-funded Scholarships
Over $2 million in scholarships funded through the generosity of private donors.
  • $1,000 – $5,000 per year
  • Criteria varies with each scholarship.
  • Must submit FAFSA by March 1 to be considered.
