Undergraduate Research provides students the opportunity to engage with the Chemistry program. Our students have the opportunities to learn new scientific ideas by engaging with faculty conducting various cutting-edge research. Students can take that knowledge and apply it to any future endeavors. There are opportunities to present their research at conferences and publish journal articles and conference papers.
Undergraduate research also provides students an opportunity to learn new instrumentation techniques. The students conducting undergraduate research may receive funding from a grant such as SURF or other research grants.
If you are interested in conducting research, contact one of the Chemistry faculty members or Dr. Juliette Rivero Walker for additional information.
