Program Description

As conveyed by Encanto, the new feature film from Walt Disney Animation Studios, every child has ability. The gifted and talented child, however, needs unique opportunities to explore, nurture and understand their potential.

Students participating in MT Stage: Expressions! will participate in daily team building exercises, analyze lyric composition, study how adaptations are made, and learn how to use Shakespearean language. Students will also experience lessons in stage combat, and learn stage performance from a theater professional, as well as create their own adaptations and song lyrics.. Program continuity will be provided by a gifted education specialist who will work with the students in the morning on team building exercises.

In the afternoon, the students will be supported by performing arts specialists who will provide the students with guidance and direction for creating their end-of-program student showcase.
