Dear Summer Laureate Students and Families:
The disruption of the current pandemic has affected all Jodie Mahony Center summer 2020 programs.
The University of Arkansas System President closed all UA campuses across the state to all academic and athletic camps for children and adolescents June, July, and August.
We regret that Summer Laureate will not be offered in July 2020.
Registration for summer 2021 will open on February 1, 2021.
Program times: 12:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Summer Laureate University for Youth (SLUFY) is an educational program that provides unique learning experiences for high-ability students to explore and expand their talents and abilities. The program offers a variety of classes taught by a staff that includes graduate students seeking masters degrees in teaching the gifted and talented, certified master teachers, and other experts.
SLUFY presents high-ability K-6 students with a unique, enriched opportunity to learn through hands-on experiences under the guidance of enthusiastic teachers. Students also will get to meet other talented students, forging friendships that last long beyond the summer program.
Won’t you help us continue the legacy?
- 42 years of enriched summer courses for children in Grades K-6,
- 42 years of university-guided creative and inspired instruction, and
- 42 years of opportunities for children to explore, to innovate, and to make friends for life.
