Graduate Student Association

The Graduate Student Association is an organization for graduate students at UA Little Rock.  All students admitted to any graduate program at UA Little Rock are automatically members of the GSA.  The role of the GSA is to provide an open forum for discussion of matters pertaining to graduate students, to support and advocate for their interests, and to provide opportunities for professional and academic development.

The GSA hosts academic workshops, supports local and university volunteer events, and helps graduate students make connections throughout different departments on campus.  All graduate students are encouraged to attend GSA meetings to bring attention to graduate students’ needs on campus and have their voices heard.

Our Mission

The Graduate Student Association is the voice of UA Little Rock’s graduate students.  The GSA advocates for graduate students’ interests, hosts events throughout the school year, and sponsors an annual research forum at which graduate students present scholarly works.  Through these actions, the GSA encourages a sense of community among graduate students in all departments throughout the university.  We accomplish this mission through

  • Supporting, promoting, and representing all graduate students at UA Little Rock
  • Providing a forum for discussions of and propositions on matters involving graduate students and their welfare at UA Little Rock
  • Providing graduate students with opportunities for intellectual, professional and social development

The GSA welcomes engagement from graduate students and invites any graduate student of UA Little Rock to join us in the events, meetings, and special workshops we host throughout the school year.

Get Involved

The GSA welcomes your involvement.  Our Executive Team and Senators invite graduate students to help us provide equal representation on campus.  GSA members fill a number of roles on campus including students, instructors, laboratory assistants, research assistants, employees, volunteers, student workers, and more.   Your concerns are our concerns, and we hope you’ll join us as we continue to contribute to the UA Little Rock community.
