Great American Smokeout

great-american-smoke-outThe American Cancer Society marks the Great American Smokeout on the third Thursday of November each year. Smokers are encouraged to use the date to make a plan to quit, or to plan in advance and quit smoking that day. At UALR, cold turkey sandwiches were given to the first 25 individuals who brought in and disposed of their package of cigarettes, brought in a friend to dispose of their package of cigarettes,or signed an agreement that they would quit smoking or help someone quit smoking.
