ImageNow Upgrade to SSO

ImageNow is a document imaging system used to electronically store and retrieve images of documents. ImageNow is available in a client version that is necessary for inputting documents into the system, as well as a web version (known as WebNow) that can be used for viewing/read-only purposes.

ImageNow was successfully upgraded in June to an enhanced version which enabled the implementation of the university’s Single Sign-On (SSO) solution. This upgrade of ImageNow houses a myriad of quality-of-life changes but cross-browser compatibility is the most significant improvement. This feature allows the web version of the application (WebNow) to be accessed from any Chromium based browser (Chrome, Firefox, and Edge to name a few), instead of having to use Internet Explorer as a requirement.

The ImageNow SSO implementation took place in September as a joint effort between the EAD Applications, EAD Programming, and Systems teams within IT Services. The implementation required a username migration of over 200 accounts from their legacy NetID to the current NetID (email address). Along with the browser upgrade, users are now greeted by the familiar UA Little Rock Microsoft sign-in page which standardizes the experience they are accustomed to with other UA Little Rock applications such as Workday, Blackboard, etc.
