ACE AWARDS – The VLSCPB Volunteer Recognition Program
VLSCPB volunteer attorneys are the core of our program. We literally couldn’t do this without you. The Attorneys of Compassion and Excellence (“ACE”) Awards were developed to recognize our volunteers and the work they do. All VLSCPB volunteers are eligible to participate in the ACE Awards program and all VLSCPB volunteers receive these perks:
- Access to resources:
- CLEs on demand
- Compiled research resources
- Forms
- Helpful practice links
- Access to mentors through VLSC Listserv
- Advance notice of CLE offerings before CLE is released to the public
- Advance notice of events before event is released to the public
- Exclusive access to VLSCPB annual event only for volunteers and VLSC students (subject to pandemic restrictions)
In addition to the base perks, volunteers who achieve the benchmarks outlined below will receive additional perks.

The current ACE AWARDS period ends December 31, 2023.
ALPHA Level – accept 7 or more referrals per year
Volunteers at the Alpha Level also receive:
- Digital volunteer badge for display on firm/individual website and linkage from the VLSCPB website to the volunteer’s website
- Three (3) VLSCPB Volunteer Spotlights LinkedIn per year of participation
- Promotion on the VLSCPB website
- One (1) VLSC Volunteer Lapel Pin per pro bono attorney
- Nomination and voting rights for the VLSCPB IMPACT Volunteer of the Year Award
- Priority registration for all VLSCPB events and CLEs
BRAVO Level – accept 2 to 6 referrals per year
Volunteers at the Bravo Level also receive:
- Digital volunteer badge for display on firm/individual website and linkage from the VLSCPB website to the volunteer’s website
- Two (2) VLSCPB Volunteer Spotlights LinkedIn per year of participation
- Promotion on the VLSCPB website
- One (1) VLSC Volunteer Lapel Pin per pro bono attorney
- Priority registration for all VLSCPB events and CLEs
CHARLIE Level – accept 1 referral per year
Volunteers at the Charlie Level also receive:
- Digital volunteer badge for display on firm/individual website and linkage from the VLSCPB website to the volunteer’s website
- One (1) VLSCPB Volunteer Spotlight LinkedIn per year of participation
- Promotion on the VLSCPB website
- One (1) VLSC Volunteer Lapel Pin per pro bono attorney
- Priority registration for all VLSCPB events and CLEs
