Open Research for All: UA Little Rock’s New Wiley Partnership

High publishing costs shouldn’t stand between research and the world. To bridge this gap, the Ottenheimer Library is proud to announce a “Read and Publish” agreement with Wiley, what was effective as of January 1, 2026.

Why This Matters

Typically, publishing Open Access (OA) requires expensive Article Processing Charges (APCs). Under this new deal, those fees are fully covered for UA Little Rock researchers. By removing financial barriers, the library ensures that work gains higher visibility, more citations, and a global reach—all at zero cost.

Key Benefits for Faculty

  • 1,280+ Journals: APCs are waived for Wiley’s hybrid journals across nearly every discipline.
  • Seamless Workflow: A step-by-step Wiley Journal Workflow Guide is available to help navigate funding requests during submission.
  • Broad Impact: This joins a growing list of over 6,200 journals covered by collective agreements.
