The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Department of Athletics had another tremendous fundraising year in 2016-17, eclipsing the $2 million threshold and posting a record two-year span totaling $4 million since 2016.

“We are most grateful to our generous supporters who continue to believe in our young people and the mission of Little Rock Trojan Athletics,” Director of Athletics Chasse Conque said. “I appreciate the hard work of our external team, Director of Development and Sales Hannah Troillet and our coaches for helping us engage our community in effectively raising much-needed private resources.”

The Department of Athletics raised $2,090,371 during 2016-17, beating out the mark of $1,982,884 set in 2015-16. Individual donors were also up this year as 1,289 individual donors supported Little Rock’s Team with 2,743 total gifts.

Several factors led to a strong fundraising year: increased giving by lettermen and alumni; SpectacUALR 2016 which raised $228,000; and several successful efforts led by individual sports programs. In addition, season ticket sales since 2014-15 have doubled, significantly increasing seat license revenue to the Trojan Athletic Association.

“Two consecutive years of strong philanthropic support sends a strong message about where we are as a department,” Conque said. “We take this level of investment very seriously, and we are committed to being great stewards of the generous support we continue to receive.”
