Why Should I Become a Learning Assistant?

The UA Little Rock Learning Assistant Program (LAP) is designed to improve education at the university with the help of undergrads like you!

Learning Assistants (LAs) are undergraduates who work with faculty to support active learning development and implementation. LAs have previously done well in the course for which they LA.
As an LA, you will assist faculty and learn research-supported techniques for learning.

By helping keep students on track, guiding learning, deepening understanding, clearing up confusion, and maintaining discussions, LAs learn valuable teaching and leadership skills.
