The UA Little Rock Department of Theatre Arts provides a safe and rigorous environment in which to take risks, broaden imagination, and discover one’s voice. Our curriculum links the best practices of the classroom to the laboratory of production, engaging with ideas through theory and application. Grounded in knowledge and skills, critically aware of the present, and creatively inspired, Theatre and Dance students are challenged to make meaningful contributions to their world. Our world-class program includes:

  • Faculty who are committed teachers and accomplished artists
  • Two performance spaces: 640 seat proscenium and 110 seat Black Box
  • Ability to perform in multiple productions each semester
  • Two dance studios in the Center for Performing Arts
  • One-to-one training and close advising in a mentored learning community
