Entry 21

Today we went to the Jilin Beishan Scenic Spot.  We had four buses of artists, staff, interpreters and assistants.  It was a wonderful place and only about an hour and a half drive from Changchun.  An important part of the park was the series of Women’s Buddhist temples on the top of the hill.
It was very ornate and peaceful.  I bought prayer cards for Pong, Angela and myself so that we could tie them to a sapling.

After the scenic spot we went to a huge lake about the size of Lake Dardanelle near Hot Springs.  We had a big lunch on a cruise boat and went on a tour of the lake for three hours. Very relaxing.
