Antonetti Faculty Flute Recital Set for April 28

The UALR Department of Music presents Susan Antonetti’s faculty flute recital on Sunday, April 28, at 3 p.m. in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall in the Fine Arts Building on the UALR Campus. This event is free and open to the public.

Susan Antonetti is a 1983 graduate of Arkansas Tech University, where she studied flute with Mary Kay Adams and Karen Futterer.  After graduating from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1992 with a masters degree in music performance (conducting emphasis), she focused on instrumental teaching in the middle school and high school levels for 18 years.  Returning to the flute, Susan is in her third year as Instructor of Flute at UALR.  Her current teachers are Keith Underwood, Professor of Flute at the Mannes School of Music at NYU and Christina Smith, Principal Flutist with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.

In the past three years, Susan has performed in master class settings for Rhonda Larson, Gary Schocker and Keith Underwood.  She can be heard throughout Little Rock in church performances; primarily with her home church at  St. James United Methodist Church, the River City Men’s Chorus and is Piccoloist with the Little Rock Wind Symphony.
