Voucher Eligibility

  • You are not eligible for a voucher if the amount of your anticipated financial aid for the term is less than your balance due UA Little Rock.
  • Voucher eligibility is calculated each semester.
  • Your eligibility cannot be calculated until you have registered for the term. Changes to your registration can affect your voucher eligibility.
  • Voucher eligibility for students who live on-campus cannot be calculated correctly until housing charges have been posted for the term.
  • You are not eligible for a voucher once a direct deposit or Refund check has been created for the term and you have no remaining unpaid financial aid for the semester.

Voucher Availability

Book Voucher Availability
  • The book voucher program begins 2 weeks prior to the first day of classes for the semester.
  • The book voucher program ends after the 4th week of classes, or whenever the final refund check or direct deposit is issued for the term, whichever is earlier.
Food Voucher Availability
  • The food voucher program begins on the first day of classes for the semester.
  • The food voucher program ends after the 4th week of classes, or whenever the final refund check or direct deposit is issued, whichever is earlier.

Maximum Voucher Amounts

Fall or Spring:
  • Book Vouchers – The maximum amount is $900.00 or the amount of your excess financial aid minus any food voucher amount, whichever is less.
  • Food Vouchers – The maximum amount is $790 or the amount of your excess financial aid minus your book voucher amount, whichever is less.

Summer:
  • Book Vouchers – The maximum amount is $400.00 or the amount of your excess financial aid minus any food voucher amount, whichever is less.
  • Food Vouchers – The maximum amount is $200 or the amount of your excess financial aid minus your book voucher amount, whichever is less.

General Information

Book Voucher Program
  • The book voucher program is available to allow you to purchase books and supplies prior to the creation of a refund check or direct deposit for the term.
  • The book voucher program is available only through the UA Little Rock bookstore (both on-campus and on-line purchases). Students are not able to use the book voucher program to charge books though any other vendor.
  • The book voucher program is optional. You are not required to purchase books and supplies using the book voucher program.
  • Any amount you charge using the book voucher program will be added to your balance due UA Little Rock, and will be paid by your financial aid funds for the term.
  • If you do not use the book voucher program, no book charges will be added to your UA Little Rock Student Account

Food Voucher Program

If you have already purchased a meal plan from UA Little Rock Dining Services, it is not necessary to purchase a food voucher. Please contact Dining Services for more information about your meal plan.

  • The food voucher program is available to allow you to purchase a Dining Dollar Declining Balance Account prior to the creation of a refund check or direct deposit for the term.
  • The food voucher program is optional. You are not required to purchase a declining balance account using the food voucher program.
  • Purchasing a food voucher creates a Dining Dollar Declining Balance Account.
  • The food voucher amount is not a reflection of the balance remaining in your Dining Dollar Declining Balance Account. Please contact Dining Services to determine the amount of money left in your account.
  • Any amount you charge using the food voucher program will be added to your balance due UA Little Rock, and will be paid by your financial aid funds for the term.
  • If you do not use the food voucher program, no food voucher charges will be added to your UA Little Rock Student Account.
