Two resolutions were adopted by the Board of Visitors at their August 2022 meeting.
Upward Enrollment Resolution
WHEREAS—The University of Arkansas Little Rock Board of Visitors recognizes the positive results for fall enrollment in first-time freshman and transfer students.
WHEREAS—We want to express our gratitude and appreciation to our faculty, staff, and administration for sharing their mission, and their passion, in our community which has resulted in these positive results in enrollment.
WHEREAS—We acknowledge the vital role that supporters in our community have played by investing and engaging in our university and we thank them for their commitment to our mission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF VISITORS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS AT LITTLE ROCK–We are deeply appreciative for the dedication, and professionalism demonstrated by our faculty, staff, administration, and supporters in helping to build a better future for our community by fulfilling our mission to provide students access to an affordable and quality education.
Coach Joe Foley Resolution
WHEREAS – The University of Arkansas Little Rock Board of Visitors acknowledges Trojan Women’s Basketball Coach Joe Foley.
WHEREAS – Joe Foley has coached, mentored, and positively impacted the lives of our student athletes for nearly two decades.
WHEREAS – With 833 career wins, Coach Foley ranks third among active women’s basketball coaches in the nation.
WHEREAS – We express our deepest gratitude to Coach Joe Foley for graduating one hundred percent of the student athletes that stayed with him for four years.
WHEREAS – The University recognizes Coach Foley’s commitment, integrity, and values displayed in the pursuit of winning on and off the floor with our student athletes.
WHEREAS – Coach Foley’s devotion to his players is above and beyond basketball and we are honored to share in the naming of our basketball court after this legendary coach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF VISITORS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS AT LITTLE ROCK THAT – We express our appreciation to Coach Joe Foley for his record of success as a coach and mentor, in his efforts to win and graduate successful student athletes.
