Donation Guidelines
The Trojan Career Closet welcomes new and gently used professional clothing and accessories that students can wear for interviews, career fairs, internships, and other professional opportunities.
Before donating, please consider whether an item is professional, in good condition, and appropriate for today’s workplace.
Donated clothing should:
- Be clean and ready to wear
- Be in good condition, without stains, holes, excessive wear, or damage
- Generally be current in style and purchased within the last five years
Timeless professional pieces may be accepted regardless of age. Examples include classic solid-color blazers, traditional two-piece suits, dress pants, pencil skirts, and simple professional dresses that remain in excellent condition.
Items that may no longer be suitable include clothing with noticeably outdated cuts, patterns, or design details, as well as items that are faded, stretched, pilling, heavily worn, or otherwise show significant signs of age.
Because the Trojan Career Closet has limited storage space and changing inventory needs, we may be unable to accept all donations. Items may be declined based on condition, quantity, current inventory needs, or available space.

How It Works
