How Dinesha Supports Students
As the Student Support Specialist for DCSTEM, Dinesha Darrough helps students identify and overcome personal and academic challenges that may affect their progress toward graduation. She works closely with students, faculty, and staff to connect students with support, resources, and guidance based on their individual needs.
Students can contact Dinesha for assistance with:
- Financial hardships and emergency financial needs
- Food and housing insecurity
- Personal or emotional challenges affecting academic progress
- Academic difficulties and recovery planning
- Connecting with appropriate campus resources and services
- Navigating challenges that may interfere with staying enrolled or completing a degree
Dinesha also manages the Emergency Micro-Grant Program, supports academic recovery processes, coordinates referrals to campus resources, and leads outreach efforts focused on early intervention, student success, and retention.
