Dr. Ashvin Vibhakar, CFA, has taken on the role of Joe Ford Chair of Finance at the University of Arkansas Little Rock School of Business.
In the past, Dr. Vibhakar has acted as Senior Advisor and the Executive Sponsor of the Future of Finance Project. The Future of Finance project was an extensive worldwide initiative to create a trustworthy, forward-thinking financial industry to better serve the global community. The project’s goal was to provide the tools necessary to motivate and empower the finance community to commit to fairness, improved understanding, and personal integrity.
From 2007 to 2012, Dr. Vibhakar worked with the CFA Institute as their managing director for Asia-Pacific Operations. He was based out of Hong Kong and from there, he was responsible for developing and then implementing numerous operating strategies in the region. Among such strategies were society relations, employer and university outreach, candidate recruitment and support, and member services.
Prior to joining the CFA Institute, Dr. Vibhakar was the director of the Institute for Economic Advancement in the UA Little Rock School of Business. His accomplished career spans a number of academic successes, including dean of the School of Business Administration at UA Little Rock. As a former member of the Board of Governors and volunteer of the CFA Institute, he has served on multiple committees.
