The UA Little Rock Campus Garden is a place for education, research, and outreach about food production, sustainability, economic botany, ecology, and more. The garden contains a variety of spaces, including in-ground vegetable gardens, Arkansas native plant gardens, an aerobic composting system, 16 raised beds, an apiary, an orchard, and two keyhole beds! We use only sustainable growing methods and techniques and are committed to reusing, recycling, upcycling, and sustainability including strategic water use and conservation.
We frequently host farm stands and volunteer work days. Students, faculty, staff, and members of the community who share a love of gardening are invited and encouraged to Become a Campus Gardener!
UA Little Rock students can also join the Campus Garden Alliance to learn about sustainable urban gardening and to utilize that knowledge to grow and distribute fresh produce. View our events calendar or follow us on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter to see how you can get involved.
