Participating in real-world experiences helps prepare students for careers in geology. Being able to learn in the field supports and enriches classroom learning.
Nearly all of our courses provide geology students with the opportunity to participate in field experiences, including travel to the Bahamas as part of the Geology and Ecology of the Bahamas elective class. Geology majors participate in a Geology field camp as their capstone experience and faculty also take students to explore national parks.
