The UA Little Rock performance evaluation program will be used to establish individual employee performance expectations, goal setting, and written feedback for staff employees. Performance evaluations for classified and non-classified staff will be processed in Workday and are due no later than March 31. Administrators and faculty have separate guidelines and submission due dates.
Important information regarding performance evaluations:
- Rating period: January 1 (or the first day of hire) – December 31
- If an employee changes jobs or supervisors during the year, the Workday Performance Review task will route to the manager that supervised the employee for the majority of the year. However, the review will be populated with the employee’s current position responsibilities. The manager for the majority of the event will have to update the review form with the employee’s previous responsibilities before completing the evaluation.
- An evaluation must be submitted for every staff employee by the deadline. The only exception is if the staff employee is on an approved medical leave status in Workday. Supervisors that do not submit a form for their employee(s) are subject to denial of a merit increase (subject to availability of funding).
- Supervisors needing to make major revisions to an employee’s job description should contact the Department of Human Resources to determine if reclassification is warranted.
