UA Little Rock student-athlete named All-American by National Baseball Congress
New University of Arkansas at Little Rock baseball catcher Caleb Cox was named an All-American by the National Baseball Congress after competing in the 83rd NBC World Series this summer.
Over the course of the NBC World Series with the Mulvane Patriots, Cox hit .533 with two doubles and three RBIs. Cox posted the highest slugging percentage of any catcher throughout the 16-day stretch of games.
Cox comes to UA Little Rock from Butler Community College, where he hit .335 with 10 home runs, 42 RBIs, 39 runs, 15 doubles, a .600 slugging percentage, and a .449 on-base percentage in 2017.
The NBC World Series is the largest and oldest continuous sporting event in the United States.
