- During judging (12 -2 pm), we ask that you please remain with your table
- Leaving during judging may result in your work not being evaluated
What to Expect During Judging
- Judges will:
- Wear Expo lanyards and introduce themselves
- Spend about 5 minutes with you
- Listen to your explanation and ask a few questions
- If you are unsure whether someone is judging your work, it is completely okay to ask!
- Each project should be evaluated by at least two judges
- If you have not been judged twice by 2 PM, please check in at the judging sign-in desk
- If you have already been evaluated twice, you are welcome to walk around and explore other projects
- There will be lots of judges at Expo so you may talk to more than the two that are judging your work. These other judges are simply interested in your work.
- Still have questions about how to present or what to expect? Check out this link.
Judging is meant to be a supportive and exciting experience. Judges will be looking at how clearly you communicate your idea, your process, and how your work is developing. Please know that it is highly likely that you will have a judge that is outside your discipline.

SRCS Expo App
This year, the committee has made an App to better support all facets of the Expo and help you to stay organized throughout the day. To better help you understand and prepare for using the app, we’ve created a participant guide (attached to this email) as well as a quick walkthrough video.
As you are a participant, you will be sent an email directly to sign up for the app. Please monitor your email (and spam folder) for an email directly from [email protected]. Once you have received it, you will then be able to set your password. You should receive this email by end of the day tomorrow (April 1).
However, if you do not receive this email by end of day tomorrow (April 1), to sign up for the app: click here.
For any questions or troubleshooting help, please reach out to Lydia Martin ([email protected]).
A few key things the app will help you do:
- View your project number, title, and location
- See which judges are assigned to you and whether they have arrived
- See the number of times you’ve been judged
- Track your check-in status
- Browse other projects and create a list of ones you want to visit
A few important notes:
- Please remember to check in when you arrive!
- The app updates automatically, so you don’t need to refresh
- If something looks incorrect, please let us know and we will update it as quickly as possible.
We recommend opening the app before you arrive to double-check your project details.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. We’re excited to see all of the work you’ve been developing!
