We are so excited about the upcoming 2026 Student Research and Creative Works Expo at UA Little Rock! The Expo features the latest research, innovation, and creative projects from students at UA Little Rock. The event is free and open to the public. We encourage everyone to join us for this annual celebration of our students’ amazing work!
2026 Research and Creative Works Expo
Date: Friday, April 17, from 12–4 p.m
Expo Registration: closes on Friday March, 20. Submitting by March 20 ensures that your project will be printed in the program. UA Little Rock Students may register here. Not a student at UA Little Rock? Non-UA Little Rock Students use this link to register. The Expo is open to high school, undergraduate, and graduate students.
Projects can be submitted under one of three categories: Research, Creative Scholarship, or Service Work and Professional Application. Please limit your presentations to two projects. Cash prizes are available for the best projects in each category. In addition to the three categories, students will choose to present their project as one of the following categories.

To get help finalizing your poster or oral presentation before the Expo, attend the following workshops in Ottenheimer Library, Room 202B:
- Better Poster Workshop Part 1: Designing Better Posters, March 31, 12:30-2 p.m.
- Better Poster Workshop Part 2: Presenting Better Posters, April 2, 12:30-2 p.m.
- Better Oral Presentation Workshop, April 2, 2:30-4 p.m.
Social Media Video Competition
The Office of Undergraduate Research, in partnership with Marketing and Communications, invites students to participate in a social media video competition to showcase their work. Participants will have the opportunity to win a cash prize to support their research, and receive a professionally-produced video highlighting their project!
Social Media Video Competition Details
- Create a 45-60 second video showing your research. Examples: a day in the life of a researcher, breaking down my research in 60 seconds, how I am preparing for my research, etc.
- Submit your video by March 6.
- The top three videos will be selected by the deans.
- First place will receive $100, second place $80, and third place $60.
- First place will also be featured in a professionally-produced video.
- Your research project DOES NOT have to be completed to submit a video.
NOTE: To participate in the competition, you must view this social media training video that covers the competition details, offers editing tips, and provides helpful examples.
