The TRIO SSS Success Coordinator is here to provide you with the additional support you will need to successfully navigate your academic journey here on campus and beyond. Success Coordination consists of a plan to better organize yourself and establish goals throughout each semester. Students on a success plan will be required to follow up with the Success Coordinator to ensure progress is being made towards their goals and reflected in their academics. Students with a cumulative GPA less than 2.8 or a prior semester GPA of less than 2.5 are required to meet regularly with the Success Coordinator. The Success Coordinator will discuss topics such as: study skills, time management, stress and anxiety management methods, planning and organizing assignments based on priority, goal setting, interview skills and preparation, career coaching, etc.
The Success Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of the student success programming for SSS including: tutoring, assigning and supervising individual and lab tutors, organizing study groups, coordinating with other departments on campus to find internships and career preparation services, assisting students with resume writing and interview skills, conducting mock interviews, providing economic/financial literacy information and resources, and conducting workshops to ensure that SSS students are prepared for success beyond obtaining their degree.
