Bowen student wins Conservation Law writing contest

Michael Fincher, a Bowen student, has won the annual Wildlife Conservation Law writing contest sponsored by the Southeastern Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies. He developed the topic for his paper, “California Water Wars — Conflicting Interests Between Species Preservation and Economic Impact,” when he was a student in the Natural Resources Law course offered at Bowen this past spring. As the winner of the contest, he will be presenting his paper at the 68th Annual SEAFWA Conference at the Hilton Sandestin Hotel Convention Center in Destin, Florida, October 19-22, 2014.
