Bowen Concurrent Bar Prep Program

We are excited to offer a new program specifically for UALR Bowen School of Law graduates. It is a FREE program, and we will begin offering it for February and July 2014 Arkansas bar exam takers. The Bowen Concurrent Bar Preparation Program is designed to complement the commercial bar review course you may have already purchased.  A commercial bar review course is required to participate.  Bowen’s program offers additional benefits that simply cannot be offered with commercial bar prep courses including substantial practice time and peer and instructor feedback.

This program is highly successful at other law schools including Washburn University School of Law, which is where our new dean, Michael Hunter Schwartz, is from. He shared this statistic about their program: All students who attended and fully participated in Washburn’s concurrent bar prep program passed the February 2013 bar exam. That’s right – 100% passage! We can do that here at Bowen.

If you are taking the bar exam in a state other than Arkansas or cannot attend all of the sessions, please contact Assistant Dean Erik Malmberg at edmalmberg@ualr.edu or 501.683.4884 to discuss alternatives that may be available.

The Bowen Office of Student Affairs is offering a FREE concurrent Bar Prep Program for February 2014 bar exam takers (Monday, January 6 through Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 5:30- 8:30pm Monday-Thursday) and July 2014 bar exam takers (Monday, June 2 through Thursday, July 10, 2014 from 1:30- 4:30pm Monday-Thursday). The program is designed to complement the commercial bar review course you may have already purchased. To enroll, simply sign up below up.
