For students who have earned a college degree, pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Accounting as a second degree at UA Little Rock is an excellent opportunity to enhance professional qualifications. Whether students are looking to switch careers or strengthen their expertise, our program offers the flexibility and comprehensive education needed to thrive in the accounting profession.
Flexible Learning Options
Our accounting degree is offered both fully online and in person, giving students the flexibility to complete coursework on their schedule. This is ideal for working professionals or those managing multiple responsibilities while advancing their education.
Specialized Curriculum for Second Degree Students
When seeking Accounting as a second degree, courses required depend on students’ educational background:
- Students who have a business degree from an AACSB-accredited institution only need to complete 30 hours of upper-level accounting courses.
- Students who do not have a business degree from an AACSB-accredited institution must complete the Pre-Business and Professional Business core courses to meet the program requirements.

Our program meets the requirements for professional certification exams, including the CPA exam, preparing students for a range of professional careers in public accounting, corporate finance, nonprofits, and government agencies.
