The Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance holds two Continuing Professional Education (CPE) events each year. The Accounting Society student organization organizes a CPE event every December.
During the Spring term the Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance hosts a CPE event focused on ethics.

8:30 – 9:20 Josh Kerr, UA Little Rock Accounting professor with a federal income tax update
9:20-10:10 Matt Boch, attorney from Dover Dixon Horne, PLLC “The $3 Billion Question: Can Arkansas Eliminate the Income Tax?”
10 minute break
10:20 – 11:10 Chris Hill from Windstream will speak on Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
11:10 – 12:00 Daniel Clark (author of Dare To Be Different: An Auditor’s Guide to Personal Excellence) giving his talk: “Setting Ourselves Apart: Breakthrough Ideas for Internal Audit”
30 minute lunch break
12:30 – 1:20 William Meister, analyst from the Value Reporting Foundation on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Reporting. “The ESG Reporting Landscape: Understanding the Basics.”
1:20 – 2:10 John Melvin from US Bank about the digital bridge concept
10 minute break
2:20 – 3:10 Antwan Hoy, a planner from the Arkansas Economic Development Institute
3:10 – 4:00 Richard Woolridge, Chair of the UA Little Rock department of Management, Marketing, and Technology will speak on data analytics and using Powerbi.

CPE credits offered: Attendance for the entire day will earn 2 hours of tax, 2 hours of accounting, 1 hour of audit, and 3 hours of other CPE.
