The following are student outcomes and education objectives for the B.S. in computer science.

By the time they graduate, students in the B.S. in Computer Science Program at UA Little Rock will attain the following abilities from the perspective of the Computer Science discipline. Students should be capable of the following:
- (SO1) Analyze a complex computing problem and apply principles of computing and other relevant disciplines to identify solutions.
- (SO2) Design, implement, and evaluate a computing-based solution to meet a given set of computing requirements in the context of the program’s discipline.
- (SO3) Communicate effectively in a variety of professional contexts.
- (SO4) Recognize professional responsibilities and make informed judgments in computing practice based on legal and ethical principles.
- (SO5) Function effectively as a member or leader of a team engaged in activities appropriate to the program’s discipline.
- (SO6) Apply computer science theory and software development fundamentals to produce computing-based solutions.
Program Education Objectives
Within five years after graduating, the University of Arkansas Little Rock computer science graduates will have the skills, knowledge, and choices to become:
- Highly successful leaders in industry or government who creatively apply theoretical and practical knowledge of computing to solve technical problems in computer science or related fields.
- Lifelong learners who seek advanced knowledge and degrees and contribute to the advancement of the local community utilizing their knowledge and professional skills.
