The University Archives and Special Collections at Ottenheimer Library contain materials that are historically significant to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, as well as research materials that are rare and/or fragile. Materials are not available for browsing, but will be retrieved upon request.

- Rose Collection (19th c. literature, foreign language)
- Simon Collection (Fiction, biography, philosophy, history)
- UA Little Rock Archives
- USGS Arkansas Maps
- Other Non-Circulating Materials (rare or fragile items)
Conditions of Use
The collections are available for in-library use by UA Little Rock faculty, students, staff, as well as the general public. All users of the collection must have a valid library account prior to accessing the materials. The materials in Special Collections are retrieved by library staff for use within the Ottenheimer Library. As items may be rare or fragile, the Library reserves the right to further limit the use of Special Collections materials based on the physical condition of the item(s).
Holdings information is available in the Library Catalog for all collections (except UA Little Rock Archives). Requests can be placed via the online form. Materials will be pulled and generally be available within 24 hours (Monday-Friday) after the request.
