SciVal Funding (by Elsevier) is a comprehensive web-based system that helps researchers find funding to match their personal recommendations and profile.  Set up your custom funding profile and save your searches, or set up email alerts or RSS feeds.

To get started with this product, go to http://www.funding.scival.com/home and click the “Register” link at the top.

SPINPlus (by infoEdGLOBAL.org®) is a comprehensive web-based system comprised of three product modules including a database of funding opportunities (SPIN), a database of investigator profiles (GENIUS), and a matching alert service (SMARTS).  These products work together to ensure that faculty/PIs are quickly and efficiently able to locate the most current funding opportunities available in their fields of interest.

To get started with this product, go to http://www.infoed.org/GeniusSearch/genius.asp and click the link at the top to “Create a New Profile”.

Government services

Grants.gov provides organizations with the ability to search and apply for grants from federal agencies.  In 2005, the Office of Federal Financial Management issued a policy directive requiring all Federal grant-making agencies to post opportunities online.
