Special Events: Step Into Summer – A Peak A Day!

Take an active adventure with us by Stepping Into Summer with the 5-week “A Peak A Day Step Challenge”! The goal is to get daily steps in by ‘climbing’ a mountain peak every day. We’ll (virtually) climb the third shortest to the eighth tallest major summits of the United States as if they were laid out flat on the ground. You can do this from anywhere using your smartphone, smart watch, or pedometer to keep track of the steps you take each day.

After registering, you will receive a weekly email with the step goal, reporting link, and peak information.  There will be weekly prize drawings using the names of the people who report each week. Those who report for at least 3 of the 5 weeks will go into a Grand Prize drawing for an additional prize package. The challenge begins with the goal of approximately 3,700 steps per day the first week, and increases from there. The program will run July 1 – August 2, 2024.

The first 50 people to REPORT their steps will receive a limited-edition bag they can use to take snacks on their jaunts! This free program is open to all current UA-Little Rock students, staff and faculty. For registration or more information, see the links below.
