Campus Recreation

UA Little Rock’s Campus Recreation offers a variety of programs for a diverse population to recreate, exercise, and socialize. Campus Recreation helps stimulate student learning and development as well as enhances the quality of life for our students, faculty, and staff. Download the Campus Rec app to see details about class schedules and intramural sports. And be sure to check out the new disc golf course at UA Little Rock! Special Events: Step Into Fall – A Metro Trail A Day!

Let’s take advantage of the cooling weather by planning to walk A Metro Trail A Day October 14 – November 24, 2023! Any active movement you are able to engage in counts towards your target! You can attend a fitness class, walk, run, swim, bike, lift weights, wiggle your arms and/or legs, whatever combination of movement you enjoy counts! The goal is to get enough activity in each day to VIRTUALLY walk selected trails in the greater Little Rock Metropolitan Area. Your step goals will approximate the distance of a trail each week in the Greater Little Rock Area, beginning with 2,400 steps per day the first week, progressing to 7,400 by the end of the challenge.

Each week you will receive an email with information about the week’s trail, your step goals for the week, and the link for reporting your steps. There will be prize drawings from the people who report their steps each week, culminating with a grand prize drawing at the end of the program.  The first 50 people that REPORT their steps will receive a limited edition Stanley-style tumbler! This free program is open to all current UA Little Rock students, staff faculty and Fitness & Aquatics Center members. Register with the link below! If you would like additional information regarding Group Fitness Classes or the Step Challenge, please email Naomi Fletcher at nffletcher@ualr.edu or visit us at UA Little Rock Campus Recreation.
