Research Assistance

Librarians are available for research consultation, including assistance with selecting databases and constructing search strategies. Please fill out the form to schedule an appointment with a librarian.

Instruction Sessions

Individuals attending library instruction sessions as part of a UA Little Rock course are encouraged to take advantage of all special assistance used in the regular classroom environment. If attending a workshop offered by the library, please contact the library two to five days in advance to request the necessary assistive technology or interpreters.

Ask Us (Online Contact)

It is not necessary to visit the library for all types of assistance. Simple questions can be answered through numerous electronic technologies. Requests for call numbers, database suggestions, and guidance with library services can be provided through e-mail, chat, or text message.

Retrieving Library Books or Journal Articles

The library staff members will assist patrons in retrieving materials from the shelves.

Requests for books and other items that can be checked-out can be submitted online. Please allow 24-48 hours for materials to be pulled. You will be notified via e-mail when items are ready for pick up..

The Article Delivery Service allows for electronic delivery of articles from the library’s print and microform journal collections. Request the article through Interlibrary Loan.

Photocopying and Scanning Library Materials

The library staff members will assist patrons with the photocopying of library materials. Photocopies cost 4 cents each.

A wide variety of library materials can also be scanned and e-mailed. Copiers on the 1st floor offer the option of scanning (black-and-white and color) and converting the item to a PDF file, which can then be e-mailed to UA Little Rock or commercial accounts.
