ParaPro Assessment

The ParaPro Assessment measures the reading, writing and basic math competencies of practicing and prospective paraprofessionals. ParaPro is a part of the ETS Praxis program. It is administered on computer in participating school districts and in a paper-pencil format on some Praxis test dates at some centers. Contact your local district’s administrative office to determine which option is available to you. In accordance with the No Child Left Behind Act, this assessment can be used to certify teachers’ aides and assistants in the instruction of these subjects to school children.

Note: Your local school district may not have specific testing centers or test dates information if they are not administering the ParaPro Assessment. In this case, please contact ETS at parapro@ets.org for a list of institutions and school districts in your area.
