Accuplacer

Update: Online Accuplacer is temporarily unavailable. We plan to begin offering Online Accuplacer again by mid-October 2023. Please check back for availability soon.

Testing Services is available to proctor the Accuplacer both in person at our Testing Center and remotely through Blackboard Collaborate Ultra. To test remotely, you will need a PC with internet access and a camera and microphone. Please review the checklist below before signing up for an at home exam.

Online Accuplacer Checklist

  1. Access to a desktop computer or laptop with audio and video
  2. Strong and steady internet access
  3. Up to two hours of uninterrupted time
  4. A form of government issued photo ID
  5. Two sheets of blank paper and two writing utensils

Please note the registration and payment receipt will read as though you are taking the exam on campus. For remote testing, you’ll receive a Blackboard Collaborate link sent to you by a Testing Services proctor the day of your scheduled exam. That link will allow you to log in to your specific testing session and is unique to you.

What is it?

  • Accuplacer is an untimed, computerized test used for admission purposes and to evaluate your skills for course placement in reading, writing, and math. Formatting of the test is available on the CollegeBoard Accuplacer website.
  • To determine your course placement, refer to the Test Score Placement Guide on our home page.
  • NOTE: Accuplacer scores are valid for five years. If your scores are older, you must retake the exam to be admitted unless an admissions advisor has otherwise specified.
