What is it?

  • Accuplacer is an untimed, computerized test used for admission purposes and to evaluate your skills for course placement in reading, writing, and math. Formatting of the test is available on the College-Board Accuplacer website entitled: “Inside the Test“.
  • To determine your course placement, refer to the Fall 2018 Test Score Placement Guide on our home page.
  • NOTE: Accuplacer scores are valid for FIVE (5) years. If your scores are older, you will have to retake the exam.
  • You may schedule an appointment online: You will be able to select the day and time of your appointment and submit your payment using a VISA, MasterCard, or Discover credit card or a debit card.

NOTICE: As of Summer 2019, students will only be able to take the Accuplacer Next-Generation Writing Test once. The Writeplacer, an essay version of the test, can be taken to improve scores if the Next-Generation Writing scores are unsatisfactory.
