Advancement Information

As a UALRworks worker, you will be evaluated and provided opportunities for growth during your time in the UALRworks program.  Using a four-stage progression model, UALRworks workers will be rewarded for exceeding the standards of their worksite position and completing a series of specialized training workshops each year.  With each level progression, you are eligible to receive an hourly pay raise and increased job responsibilities for the following year.  All raises are .25 with the completion of two workshops or .50 if one of the two completed workshops is Leadership Institute.  All workers entering the UALRworks program will begin at Level 1 and will transition at the start of each fall semester.

And example of the progression is as follows:

  • Level 1 Progression
    • Recommendation from worksite manager
    • Worksite grade of B or higher
    • Attendance in Personal Finance Workshop & Resume Skills
  • Level 2 Progression (.25 raise)
    • Recommendation from worksite manager
    • Worksite grade of B or higher
    • Attendance in Interviewing Skills & Professional Portfolio
  • Level 3 Progression (.25 raise)
    • Recommendation from worksite manager
    • Worksite grade of B or higher
    • Attendance in Leadership Institute & Advance Leadership Institute
  • Level 4 Progression (.50 raise)
    • Recommendation from worksite manager
    • Worksite grade of B or higher

Workers who successfully complete all four levels will be honored at a special event!
